Structural Peer Review

Ken Karston S.E. P.E. is a Registered Structural Peer Reviewer (RSPR) for the City of Chicago.  Chicago's Structural Peer Review Program expedites the permit process by bypassing the Department of Building's Structural Department review.  The Structural Peer Review is voluntary for projects submitted under the Standard Plan Review Program but is required for projects submitted under the Self-Certification Permit Program when certain qualifications regarding structural design (foundations, framing, etc.) are met.  Visit the City of Chicago's website for more information. 

 

Mr. Karston S.E. P.E. is qualified to provide a peer review for buildings less than 80ft tall involving all materials except post-tensioned concrete.  He is also qualified for these specialties: renovation, foundation, and earth retention projects.
