Structural Design and Detailing

K.ENG LLC provides structural design and detailing services to a wide variety of projects and clients including private owners, architects, contractors, commercial entities, religious entities, and miscellaneous business professionals.  The best time to take advantage of the knowledge and experience K.ENG LLC offers is at the beginning of a project especially during the planning and layout stages. During these early periods, the architectural features and functionality are usually the most flexible allowing for the possibility of incorporating the most optimal and cost effective structural component or system into the project.

 

Projects are only as good as the contractor and sub-contractors that build them which is why K.ENG LLC offers construction administration services, such as shop drawing review and site visits, that help assure quality projects for the client.   K.ENG LLC can assist the client in finding other design professionals, such as architects and geotechnical engineers to complete the project.

The following are the types of projects that K.ENG LLC is involved with:

  • Building Addition, Retrofit, and Renovation Projects:  adding single or multiple floors to existing buildings, rear additions, roof dormers, masonry wall removal, bearing wall removal, column removal, adding steel lateral framing (moment frames) within existing buildings, shafts within or outside of existing buildings for new elevators or vertical lifts 

  • Commercial Projects: retail standalone buildings with single or multiple tenants, retail space build-out within existing spaces, "vanilla box" buildings, restaurant standalone buildings, restaurant build-outs within existing spaces, dispensaries, breweries, warehouses, music venues, and entertainment spaces

  • Institutional Projects: additions, renovations, and new construction for public and private schools, churches, and multi-sport facilities

  • Residential Projects: single family homes, townhomes, condo/apartment buildings, retirement homes, roof decks, steel porches
